Slow response times

Learn what is checked in this report and how to fix any issues found

The URLs in this list had a slow server response time when your website was crawled by Seobility (compared to the average response time of your pages).

Why you should ensure a fast response time:

A server's response time contributes to a website's overall load time (also called "page speed"), which is an officially confirmed Google ranking factor.

The faster a page can be loaded, the faster and more efficiently Googlebot can crawl the page. In addition, fast-loading pages provide a good user experience, whereas slow pages frustrate users.

Note: This report only measures the time it takes for the server to respond to the client's request and start transmitting the HTML page.

However, the total load time of a web page will include additional steps (e.g. loading of CSS, JavaScript, images, etc.) and will therefore be longer. You can use Google's PageSpeed Insights to measure the total load time of a page.

The server location used to measure response time is Germany.

What to do in case of long response times:

One of the most frequent solutions for long response times is to check if caching and preloading are enabled on your server. Caching ensures that the server always has the content of your pages "at hand". This allows the server to respond more quickly to requests.

Please note: If you experience long response times in one crawl, and then see a significant improvement in a second crawl (without having changed anything), this is usually due to the server cache being filled in the first crawl and then being ready for the second crawl.

Therefore, make sure that your server cache is already filled before you crawl your website with Seobility to avoid such fluctuations in the results of this report.
